Accepted Forms of Identification for the Identity Check

When going through the identity check, you will be asked to provide a valid, unexpired government-issued identification document to complete the process. Depending on your location, a different identification document may be required of you.

 

United States

U.S. residents can use any of the following forms of identification:

  • Driver License
  • State ID
  • Passport
  • Passport Card
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • Non-Citizen Travel Document
  • Visa
  • Work Permit

Canada

Residents of Canada can use any of the following forms of identification:

  • Driver License
  • Healthcare Insurance Card
  • Provincial ID
  • Passport
  • Passport Card
  • Permanent Resident Card

Western Europe

If you are located in these regions, the identity check will require you to submit either:

  • State-issued IDs such as a Drivers License or Identification Card
  • Government-issued passport

 

For all other regions, the identity check will require you to submit an appropriate form of identification dependent on your region.

 

Unaccepted Identification Documents

Regardless of where you are based, these identification documents will not be accepted when going through the identity check:

  • School IDs
  • Medical IDs
  • Temporary (paper) IDs (a temporary license, for instance)
  • Public Services Card
  • Military IDs
  • Global Entry Cards
